Where's the Peace? Three Things To Help Kids Kick Worry to the Curb.

Two weeks into September, and it feels like months, doesn’t it?

Covid still rages, a snap election is proving contentious, natural disasters of all sorts have shaken the globe, hate and discord over protocols and restrictions spew into the streets.

And there are our kids, right in the middle of it all. Going back to school after months away. Re-learning how to learn. Dealing with the fallout caused by months away from in-person interaction. It’s not surprising mental health issues are sky-rocketing.

The good news? We can speak the Gospel truth of peace into the lives of our children. It’s for us, too. Jesus has something to say about chaos, confusion and worry.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” ~ Jesus (Matthew 11:28-30)
