And there you are, wondering how in the world to manage crowd control, let alone share the good news of Jesus!<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those who serve in children\u2019s ministry have a deep desire for kids learn who Jesus is and what He has done for them. But if you\u2019re like me, maybe your Type A tendencies start to bubble up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Am I explaining it well? Are they hearing me? Will they understand? These kids\u2019 eternal futures depend on me! I CANNOT mess this up!&#8221;<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Stop, take a deep breath, and consider this radical thought: YOU are not the key to a child\u2019s eternal salvation.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-7ade13c0 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7ade13c0\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>That role is already filled by the Holy Spirit.<\/strong> He is active in your life <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the lives of the children you serve.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are stressing about what to say or worrying that you aren\u2019t explaining the Gospel well, remember: <strong>this ministry is possible because of the power of Jesus\u2019 life alive in you.<\/strong> As children learn who Jesus is, the Holy Spirit works in their hearts to prompt a response.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The apostle Paul shared some wise words on this topic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe know, dear brothers and sisters, that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God loves you <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and has <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">chosen you<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be his own people. For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also with power<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you. So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Thessalonians+1%3A4-6&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Thessalonians 1:4-6 NLT<\/a>).<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><h4><strong><span style=\"color: #15b577;\">Did you catch that? <\/span><\/strong><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Imagine Paul was writing to you as a childrens\u2019 ministry leader.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God loves <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and has chosen <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to be His own.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because of the work of the Holy Spirit in your life, your words have power!<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Holy Spirit is also at work in others\u2019 lives (ie, children in your ministry).<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you model a life of following Jesus with joy, others will notice.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the Holy Spirit is working in your life, and the lives of your children, the message will make an impact.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With that in mind, here are <strong>three things you can do as you share the good news of Jesus with the children in your life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #15b577;\">The Three Ps<\/span><\/h4><p><b>prier<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Do this first, and often! Pray to be filled with the Spirit, that He will use you and your words, and will work in the hearts of the children in your care. God is faithful to complete the good work He has already started in you (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Philippians+1%3A6&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philippians 1:6<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0NLT)!<\/span><\/p><p><b>Be present<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Paul\u2019s friends knew they were loved because of his example when he was with them. Model to your kids what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Let them see you pray and read the Bible. Show them you care about their lives and interests. As you build relationships, you earn the right to be heard.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Prepare<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As you rest in the work of the Holy Spirit, this is where responsibility lies. With preparation, you can feel confident in your ability to explain the Gospel. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Peter+3%3A15-16a&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Peter 3:15-16a<\/a> tells us \u201c<em>worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
