We are so thankful for another incredible summer. Forty-one Bible camps and community ministries across the country hosted overnight camps, daycamps, special needs and First Nations ministry, vacation Bible schools, wilderness adventures, and more. Several ministry points reported record attendance.
The most exciting news? Many of these boys and girls—including those who heard the Gospel for the very first time—accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!
Your generosity helped make this a reality. Because of your support, camps could keep fees low.
Families, including those struggling in the current economic climate, were able to say “yes” to a life-transforming experience for their children.
Choosing to follow Jesus is not a one-time decision. One Hope Canada is committed to walking with young believers as they grow to know Christ more. We partner with more than 400 churches throughout the year, inviting kids to engage with God’s people in their local settings.
Connections are also being made online. During July and August, campers and leaders engaged in more than 5,000 conversations via our Faith Spark app. This was in addition to hundreds questions asked via QBox, the app’s question and answer feature, such as:
- “If God created everything, does that mean He created sin?”
- “What is a good verse to read, when you feel like your family is falling apart?”
- “Why did Jesus sacrifice Himself for us?”
As we head into fall, these big faith and life conversations continue. Currently there are 100 ministries—camps and churches—using Faith Spark to connect in a meaningful way.
This digital discipleship tool is free of charge, made possible by generous donors like you.
Your investment helps children and youth discover what it means to live and love like Jesus.
